About the Experience
What is Play VR? Play VR is a mobile virtual reality experience that comes to you. We bring professional VR headsets and equipment directly to your venue — whether that's your home, school, office, or event space — set everything up, run the session, and pack it all away afterwards. No travel, no hassle.
How many headsets do you bring? We bring up to 8 (or more in request) headsets to every session, so there's always plenty of action and minimal waiting around.
What kind of games and experiences do you offer? We offer a wide range of VR experiences suitable for different ages and occasions — from fun party games and multiplayer adventures to more immersive experiences for older groups. We'll tailor the content to your event and audience.
Suitability & Age
How old do you have to be to take part? This depends on the package. For Kids Parties, we welcome children aged 7 and above. Other packages such as Team-building, Social Events, and Corporate experiences are designed for teens and adults. If you're unsure whether an experience is right for your group, just get in touch and we'll advise.
Is VR safe for children? Yes — we use age-appropriate content for all children's sessions and our team supervises every participant throughout. We follow recommended guidelines on VR use for younger players.
Can participants with glasses take part? In most cases, yes. Our headsets can accommodate most glasses. If you have specific concerns, feel free to mention this when booking and we'll advise.
Venues & Space
Where do you operate? We're fully mobile, so we come to you. We operate across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall as standard, but get in touch if you are outside the westcountry and we will try to work something out.
What space do I need at my venue? As a guide, you'll need a cleared indoor area of at least 3x3 metres for a couple of headsets. We'll discuss your specific venue with you at the enquiry stage to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
Can you come to our home? Absolutely — home sessions are one of our most popular options, particularly for kids parties. As long as you have enough cleared space, we can make it work.
Do you need power at the venue? Yes, access to standard mains power sockets is required. We'll confirm exact requirements when we discuss your booking.
Bookings & How It Works
How does a session work? We handle everything. Our team arrives ahead of the session to set up all the equipment, we run the full experience for your group, and then pack everything away once you're done. You just enjoy the fun.
How long does a session last? Session length varies depending on the package you choose. Full details are included on each individual package page. If you have a specific duration in mind, let us know and we can discuss the best option for you.
How do I book? Simply choose your package on our website and complete the booking. Alternatively, use the contact page for bespoke enquiries — particularly for Corporate events or larger group bookings.
How far in advance do I need to book? We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date, especially for weekends and school holiday periods.
Can I customise a package for a larger group? Yes. If your group is larger than a standard package covers, or you have specific requirements, contact us directly and we'll put together a bespoke quote.
Pricing & Payment
What's included in the price? All packages include equipment, set-up, a fully hosted session run by our team, and pack-down. There are no hidden travel or setup fees for locations within our operating area.
